• Mention author and title in first paragraph.
• Write as if telling a story to a friend.
• Say what you understand the theme of the book to be, and the genre (ex: general fiction with paranormal elements).
• Relate the setting and atributes of the main characters as you see them.
• Offer your feelings about the writer's style and the narrator's 'voice'.
• Did it hold your attention? Was it enjoyable? What elements stood out about it?
• Short quotes from book sometimes help to define your opinion.
• Don't give away ending or any surprise elements.
• If it lacked something that you can define, what would have made it better.
• Would you recommend it to others? What type of reader?
